NAL-IR Content Policies The NAL-IR content policies are broadly governed by CSIR Open Access policies which mandate all research papers published from all CSIR laboratories and supported by a grant from CSIR will be made open access by depositing the full‐text and the metadata of each article in an institutional repository. This page describes policies guiding NAL-IR@CSIR-NAL, The institutional Repository of CSIR-NAL, Bangalore-560017. Content Contributors to Repository Contributors must be affiliated with the CSIR-National Aerospace Laboratories, Bangalore, and should be registered users of NAL-IR: The registered users may include: • Permanent Employees of the laboratory include scientists, technologists, and research associates. • AcSIR Ph.D. students registered at CSIR-NAL • In case of collaborative work at least one author shall be from CSIR-NAL. Scope of Deposited Content The scope of the NAL OA Repository is to reflect the intellectual output of CSIR-NAL scientists, technologists, researchers, and students. Content should be research-oriented in nature. The work must be wholly or in part produced or sponsored by CSIR-NAL scientists, technologists, or students. Deposited content shall be scholarly, technical, and research-related resources. Deposited content should be in a completed state, rather than in progress and regularly updated and deposited content must be in a digital format. Acceptable Document Types 1. Journal articles o Postprints (the final draft, as accepted for publication following peer review) or o Preprints (the draft submitted for peer review) o Publisher version (after embargo) 2. Conference papers 3. Conference posters 4. Conference proceedings 5. Newspaper/ magazine articles 6. Books 7. Book chapters 8. Departmental technical reports/ working papers / special publication / technical memorandums 9. Ph.D. / Master’s Thesis Documents Access Policy: NAL-IR is intended as a resource for open access research. Documents will, in general, be made available to the public freely and without barriers. Some content may have limited access due to an embargo period, copyright or licensing, classified content, or other issues. The restricted content is accessible only to registered users who are permanent staff of CSIR-National Aerospace Laboratories. Documents Withdrawal Policy: All deposits are considered permanent. Content may be removed in case of violation of deposit agreement or other exceptional circumstances, in which case only the record will remain with the following message: “Item withdrawn by authority of the CSIR-NAL.
