One of the three broken parts of the starboard wing of an aircraft brought for investigation had distinctive scoring marks. The other two had shallow bruise marks, which were found confined to the top layer of the paint. Examination revealed that the deep scoring marks observed on the bottom surface of the wing near the spoiler had resulted due to rubbing with solid metallic objects. The rubbing direction was determined to be from front to rear. However, it was not possible to conclusively establish whether or not these metallic objects were from another aircraft or from the same aircraft.
