Abstract
Ground Vibration Test (GVT) on full aircraft is essential to determine the modal parameters,13; such as Natural Frequencies, Modal Damping and Mode Shapes. The results of GVT will also13; be used to update the numerical model. During the design stage of any aircraft development,13; free vibration charactenstics are estimated by analytical predictions using Finite Element13; Analysis of the aircraft. These characteristics are to be verified and updated through GVT.13; A detailed report on the test procedures that were followed for the GVT of SARAS VT-XSD13; using the 60-channel GVT system and results obtained is presented in this document. The13; experimentally determined modal parameters may be used as input for fine-tuning the13; aeroelastic analysis.
