Abstract
This report describes the data partitioning method to concatenated large amplitude maneuvers (LAM) of a fighter aircraft to estimate the stability and control derivatives. Stepwise multiple linear regression is used to determine the model structure within each partitioned data set. Application of this method to LAM generated from a research simulator, yields a useful procedure for estimating the pitch up tendency by the aircraft during certain angle of attack range. Estimation results using model error method for the longitudinal derivatives from LAMs are also included in this report.
