Unsteady pressure distributions measured in a transonic wind tunnel on a supercritical airfoil of 13% maximum thickness with an oscillating trailing edge flap were analyzed. The influences of oscillation frequency, flap mean deflection, and incidence on the unsteady pressure distribution are discussed in the Mach number range of 0.3 to 0.85; the effects of the oscillation amplitude at M = 0.78 are also analyzed. Unsteady lift and moment coefficients obtained from unsteady pressure distributions are discussed.
