Abstract
A two axis vibration pickup, designed for monitoring13; vibrations on 100 MW turbo generators, has been described.13; Two electrodynamic type velocity pickups are mounted orthogonally in a common casing, oriented to measure vertical and horizontal vibrations. Constructional features of the units amp; are described and performance under varying ambient temperatures discussed for units using air damping as well as electromagnetic damping.
