Abstract
IEEE-488 Bus is a defined standard for the interface between various devices of differing manufacturers. This is a communication link for transfer of digital data in the bit parallel, byte serial fashion. The devices- that take part in such a communication are termed controllers, talkers and listeners (fig l). Talkers are devices which send information to listeners, and controllers are those which assign the functions of talking and listening to the different devices in the system.
