Abstract

Mixed estimation is presented as an approach to parameter estimation of unstable/augmented aircraft systems. Procedures for detection and assessment of data collinearity are discussed. A recursive solution to mixed estimation is presented by incorporating the apriori information equation into the UD factorization filter structure. The applicability of the approach is demonstrated by using simulated data of longitudinal dynamics of an unstable/augmented aircraft. (Author)
