Abstract
It is proposed to set up a 4-ft x 4-ft trisonic wind: tunnel of the intermittent blowd own type in the 2Tadtional Aeronautical Laboratory* The tunnel is to be of the latest design and will incorporate all advanced features necessary for ensuring its functioning as an efficient research and test facility* The tunnel shall be capable of being operated in the subsonic, transonic and supersonic regimes? the desired Mach number range being 0.5 to 4.0.13; This specification is concerned with the design,13; manufacture, supply, erection, testing and coimiiissioning13; of the tunnel proper as an integrated system comprising13; all components specified in para 1.2 -below* The following13; items of equipment and works for the tunnel, however?13; are not considered as part of the specification since13; thev are provided for separately; -but their layout and13; functioning characteristics shall be taken into account13; in the design of the wind tunnel systems 13; i) Air Storage System13; ii) Compress or-Dryer and Cooling Plant
