Abstract
Alumina fibres were prepared by chemical vapor deposition13; by vapor phase reaction of aluminium chloride, hydrogen and13; carbondioxide on a heated tungsten substrate. The reaction13; set up was fabricated and the deposition parameters were13; optimised to get an uniform deposit. The x-ray analysis showed the structure of the deposit to be that of beta alumina.
