Abstract
An experimental investigation was carried out to determine the strain distribution around circular holes in13; crossply and angleply laminated E glass epoxy composite13; cylindrical shells subjected to axial tension. The surface13; strains in the shells were measured using strain wages,13; The strains were also obtained by finite element analysis13; using a high precision triangular cylindrical shell finite13; element. In the linear range of stress-strain response,13; (for these composites) good agreement was found between13; the experimental results and finite element predictions.
