Abstract
An analytical investigation was made of the aeroelastic13; divergence behaviour of both unswept and forward swept composite (graphite/Epoxy) wing panels with various amount of fibre orientations to introduce torsion/bending coupling. A finite element analysis was carried out to obtain the structural influence coefficient matrix. The vortexlattice method has been used to generate aerodynamic influence coefficient matrixin subsonic regime. The aerodynamic loads thus obtained are transferred to13; the structural grid point susinga transformation matrix. The analytical divergence speed obtained for unswept panel compare well with available results. An additional example of forward swept cantileverwing with wash-inl neutral and wash-out design is presented to show the effect of aeroelastic tailoring on divergence speed.
