Abstract
Digital computers have noticeably influenced all the stages of full-scale fatigue testing. This paper describes efforts at the National Aeronautical Laboratory to find computer-aided solutions to three problems related to full-scale fatigue testing - analysis of photofilm flight data records to derive the test load spectrum, optimized wing sectoring for the application of varying load distributions and design of wing loading fixtures.
