Abstract

It is shown that liquid-in-layer spark (LLS) technique13; yields a single working curve for the elements Ni,13; Cr ,Mn,Si and Mo in different types of ferrous alloys13; viz., stainless steels, low alloy steels, mild steels13; and plain carbon steels. The results of this study,13; additionally, establish that the matrix effects13; in heat treated EN-24 sample are eliminated by LLS.13; LLS analysis of several commercial samples is found13; to be in good agreement with spectrophotometric13; analysis of such materials.
