Abstract
This report describes some important observations13; made during my stay at O.N.E.R.A., France (from 23-3-87 to13; 12-4-87)as regard to both the design of the water tunnel and13; the' several techniques used for the visualisation of complex flow fields. The design includes not only the test section and other components of the tunnel but also the related accessories needed for the efficient utilisation of the facility e.g. Model and mirror mounting systems, photography and lighting equipment, etc. The techniques used for the flow visualisation at O.N.E.R.A. are: dye injection,13; hydrogen bubble and air bubble (used either individually13; or collectively)techniques. Some modifications both in the13; design and the techniques based on these observations are13; planned for the existing water tunnel at N.A.L. to enhance13; its capability.
