Viswanath, PR (1987) Aircraft buffet onset measurements at transonic Mach numbers. Journal of Aeronautical Society of India, 39. pp. 21-28.
Full text not available from this repository.Abstract
Buffet onset measurements have been performed on a low aspect ratio, moderately swept, aircraft model at three transonic Mach numbers in the 1.2 m tunnel. Instrumentation included wing root strain gauges, a wing tip accelerometer, wing trailing edge pressure taps and standard six component internal strain gauge balance. Results of buffet onset determined from both static as well as dynamic techniques are compared. A discussion of the buffet onset results, as it relates to the main features of the flow on the wing upper surface, is also included.
