Abstract

Several composite wing panels are analyzed to predict their vibration and flutter characteristics. The panels studied are used in a research project on aeroelastic tailoring which is being conducted by NAL. The NASTRAN (NASA STructural ANalysis program) was used to perform both vibration as well as flutter analysis. A thorough investigation is made of the free- vibration and flutter characteristics of three panel configurations with results compared to published data. (Author)
