Abstract
Abstract: A simple procedure for ther computation bucking loads for simply supported rectangular curved sandwich pnnels i s presented. The sandwich panels consists of centrally orthotropic laniinated face sheets with isotropic or orthotropic core nnd are loaded with membrane loads parallel to the edges.the method is valid for liminated composite panels without the sand wich core. The theory is augnented to include the effect of longitudinal stringers. the stringers are considered to be integral part of the panel and treated as an equivalent orthotropic skin and their stiffness are smeared out lx-fore adding it to the overall stiffness of the panel.A simple computer program written based on the present method could be made use of for a quick and accurate estimation of buckling loads for laminated composite or sandwich panels.
