Abstract
An algebraic method is used to generate curvilinear body-fitted grids for an airfoil.The region exterior to the airfoil over which grids are to be generated is mapped to an approximate rectangle whose appropriate discretisation, gives the required grids in the physical plane. Two schemes to generate C-type grids using different transformations are given. A scheme to obtain O-type grid is also given. A listing of the cornputer program to generate C-grid where one of the coordinate curves is a family of parabolas is given in appendix.13;
