Abstract

A family of compact upwind schemes with formal orders of accuracy 3 to 5 have been developed. Flux limiters are introduced to render the schemes TVD and suitable for high-speed gasdynamic computations. Upwinding is introduced through the peculiar velocity upwind (PVU2) split fluxes. The schemes are applied to the computation of the flow fields due to a 2D sonic jet impinging on a flat plate.
