Abstract
An exploratory attempt at empirically determining the pressure distribution on aerofoils in the embedded supersonic region using the concept of 'Expansion angle sand 'Compression angle ' in the flow development and the concept of connected points, both put forward by Pearcey (l), has been presented Prediction of the pressure distribution over the initial region is based on an universal compression rate curve and that over the region beyond it is based on an empirical correlation for the connected regions.
