Abstract
Linearized equations governing a small disturbance of the Poiseuille flow lead to an eigenvalue problem. The first twenty eigenvalue sand eigenfunctions of this problem and its adjoint are given. Formulae for the asymptotic estimate of the eigenvalues are obtained. The eigen function expansion method to calculate.the development of the Poiseuille flow involvesan integralwhioh has also been tabu1ated.
