Abstract

The development of a new design of a pressure probe as13; a means of measuring skin-friction is described. It works 13; the same principle as the preston-tube. The main advantage13; of the new design is that unlike all known similar devices as preston-tube, sub-1ayer fence, stanton tube etc., it does not require the measursment of wa11 stet ic pre ssure . It is expected to have many additional arplications in two-dimensional as quot;well as three dimensional flows where other' devices are impracticab1e.
