Abstract
The paper discusses the computational problems which arise when on-body equal pressure KUvta condition is applied in Hess' panel metnod at the trailing edge to calculate lift and surface pressures on three-dimensional cofigurationS. There results a set of K quadratically nonlinear equations which can have 2k possible real solutions, where K is the number of lifting strips. Identifying, isolating and obtaining the physically relevant real solution from among this population of real solutions appears to be a difficult task both mathematically and computationally. Investigations in these directions might aid in a more .
