Abstract
A generalized software ALLS [A Linearzing Link Software] to derive Linear state space model matrices for state and observation equations from non-linear flight simulation models has been implemented. The program is interactive enabling the user to derive the models for a number of13; trim states like straight and level, level turn, thrust stabilized turn, push-over or pull-up, constant sideslip trim. The linear models derived for a light aircraft have been shown to be more accurate than the approximate derivations generally used. Results for a combat aircraft are also presented to demonstrate the versatility of the13; software. This software ALLS is considered to be a vital link between the six-degree of freedom simulation model of any aircraft and its control law design.
