Abstract
Transmission electron fractography studies were made on two failed components of an Ajeet aircraft which was subjected to simulated fatigue loading. Two step replication procedure was adopted . Clear striation patterns were observed . The arbitrary spacings of the striations observed under a TEM confirmed fatigue crack growth` under fluctuating loading.
