Abstract

To understand the techniques involved in computer animation, with a view to implementing these later to problems of relevance to WlL, a software experiment was attempted on a HCL Busybee PC/AT installed in the Computer Centre. Programs were developed in BASICA to animate (i) the fluttering of the wings of a butterfly and (ii) the movement of the butterfly from place to place. -It is hoped that the insight gained in the handling of such animation problems will be useful in the larger context of visualization of dynamics Of aircraft systems on a display screen.
