Abstract
The present study was taken up to learn the multigrid technique. In this study Laplace equation has been solved using full approximation storage multigrid technique. Comparisons with single grid computations as well as with, multilevel grid sequencing show the large saving in computational effort and, thus, the CUP time. The method is known to give unlimited convergence. This is demonstrated by attaining rms residue of less than 10 to the power of -10.
