Abstract
Finite element solutions have been obtained for the eigen- value problems of the free vibrations of circular cylindrical shells, made of composite materials, with one end free and the other clamped . Numerical results are presented to show the effect of material anisotropy on the frequencies corresponding to different modes . The mode shapes are visualized using computer graphics .
