Abstract

The results of flight data analysis of ATTAS aircraft using13; Maximum likelihood estimation procedure based on the conventional 'derivative model' approach for two positions of the landing flaps are provided in this document . The aerodynamic model has been identified using the six degree of freedom coupled equations of motion. In addition, an 'extended aerodynamic model' valid over a larger variation in airspeed has been identified by combining several maneuvres in the analysis . 13; Estimation of the pitching moment derivatives with respect to pitch rate and rate of change of angle of attack using the linearized model requiring special maneuvres to remove correlation between the motion variables has also been investigated
