Abstract
The Parabolized Navier-Stokes (PNS) equations form a subset of the Navier-Stokes equations . This report contains the details of the development of the PNS equations from the Navier-Stokes equations for an ideal gas model (7 - constant) . The resulting equations are numerically solved In a generalized coordinate system using a finite-difference implementation of MacCormack's explicit predictor-corrector algorithm . A three-dimensional code based on this algorithm has been developed and applied to the ideal gas flow past a right circular cone at 0 deg angle of attack
