Abstract
It is shown in this note that13; {i)The designer cannot assign arbitrary values for the elements of the choice matrix, but must ensure satisfaction of Cauchy condition13; i constraints to preserve curve shape invariance under translation13; 1 and rotation; also 13; (ii)It is preferable to use a function approach in terms of a class of functions, either implicitly or explicitly, for defining the13; { curve segment p(t) instead of specifying numerical values of p(t) and its derivatives at the end points of the curve segment.
