Abstract
Static pressure plays an important role in modern fighters in terms of providing stability augmentation and control. Static pressure is measured by pitot static systems. They can be installed at different locations in the aircraft. Each of them measure different values and hence calibration of these pitot static systems is essential to produce reliable static pressure. This paper addresses a novel method for static pressure calibration using Unscented Kalman Filter (UKF). The method proposed here can be extended to Flush Air Data Systems (FADS). The technique is tested using the flight test data of a high performance aircraft.
