The shape control of adaptive wings can improve the aircraft aerodynamic performance during its flight. In morphing wing technology, thewing-level morphing alters the sweep, dihedral, twist and span of the entire wing to significantly reconfigure the geometryto achieve optimal performance.This paper focuses on the type synthesis of a modular variable geometry truss (VGT) mechanism for aircraft wing morphing. The VGT mechanism is realized through simulation using conventional actuators. The application of distributed actuation within a flexible wing structure through computational optimization and simulation techniques is discussed. The aerodynamic parameters are compared with /without morphing.
