Abstract

The present invention describes an improved multilayer solar selective coatings for solar thermal power generation. Solar selective coatings of the present invention consists essentially of between Ti / Cr layer, two absorbent layers (AITiN and AlTiON) and the anti-reflection layer (AITiO) composition. The method of coating deposition of Ti and Al is used as source material, which can be easily manufactured in large quantities and a sputtering target for industrial applications. The present invention allows all of the layers in a single sputtering chamber to a high absorptivity and low emissivity deposited on the plane of the tubular substrate so that the present method is simpler and more economical. The method of the present invention can be easily scaled for having good reproducibility and uniformity of deposition over a longer tube. Coatings of the invention also exhibit improved adhesion, UV stability, corrosion resistance and stability under extreme conditions
