Abstract
Results of the d. c. electrical conductivity (6) measurements (from 90 to 420K) on13; fifteen glass compositions, represented as Cu,(As0 .4Se0 3Te0_3)100-x (with x varying13; from 0 to 30) are reported and discussed. Similar to that observed [I] in the13; composition dependencies of the mean atomic volume (V) and the glass transition13; temperature (T8) of these glasses, it is possible to delineate three regions in the13; composition dependence of the 6 of these glasses. (i) For addition of Cu up to 113; at.%., the cr register a decrease compared to that of the parent AsO.4Se0_3Te0 3 glass.13; (ii) For Cu gt; 1 at.%., the conductivity activation energy (AE) and the preexponential13; factor (C) decrease, with a concomitant increase in 6 (at 250K) by13; about six orders magnitude. (iii) Both AF and C show saturation for Cu gt; 23 at.%.13; The composition data are examined using the model developed earlier [I ] to13; understand the V ( and Tr ) - composition dependencies of these glasses.
