Abstract
An open circuit, gravity driven water tunnel was refurbished and made13; operational recently . The components refurbished included a storage tank with13; built-in bell mouth section, a smooth contraction and a flow conditioner unit . With13; these new components, the flow quality of the tunnel improved substantially and13; steady flow can now be achieved up to about 6 cm/s as compared to the (max .)13; velocity of about I cm/s before refurbishment . This report contains a description13; of the refurbished water tunnel and its calibration .
