Abstract
This paper discusses some aspects of three dimensional13; supersonic and hypersonic inviscid blunt body13; flow computations. The method is based on the solution13; of the Euler equations employing an explicit, upwind13; TVD (MUSCL) formulation of the Roe Riemann13; Solver within the cell centered finite volume approach.13; A comparative study of various limiters and entropy13; fixes is carried out to identify the most appropriate13; combinatioa. The effect of using cell spacing in the13; TVD extrapolations is highlighted. Local time stepping13; and code parallelization has been employed to accelerate13; convergence in terms of effective wall clock times.
