Abstract
Stainless steel round bar meshes used for a Telescopic Antenna having different solidifies are Wind Tunnel tested for their drag Coefficients. The meshes are mounted in the Wind Tunnel test section using circular rings. The model is tested at different Wind, velocities and turning angles with respect to the Flow direction. A single component strain gauge balance is used for drag measurement. The study revealed that drag coefficient increased with solidities and turning angles of the mesh. This study is conducted at the request of the sponsoring organisation, TIFR.
