Abstract
Renewable Sources of Energy have assumed considerable importance recently because electricity from centralised sources has still to reach vast areas of the country in a satisfactory manner. Ministry of Non-Conventional Energy Sources plays a vital role in the development of these energy technologies for usage and sponsors many projects for the development, as part of their promotional policies. Under this category , a demonstration project of 4KW Battery charging Wind Electric Generators designed, developed by BHEL were supplied to following organisations viz ., 1 . Nehru Zoological Park, Hyderabad 2. Central Institute of Rural Electrification,Hyderabad 3. Engineering Staff College of India, Hyderabad 4. Research Centre Imarat, DRDO, Hyderabad An evaluation study was conducted over this by NAL,Bangalore and the details of the study are discussed in this report.
