Abstract
In order to meet the goal of better13; tracking, selection of appropriate real time filter13; and modelling of disturbances like process and13; measurement noise becomes a necessicity for a13; filter designer. In this paper, two filter schemes13; are evaluated to handle the polar measurements13; using error model (for bias correction and13; measurement noise covariance computation). It is13; assumed that a good reference source of target13; information is available. Particularly, Error13; model based Converted Measurement Kalman13; filter (ECMKF) and Error model based Modified13; Extended Kalman filter (EMEKF) algorithms are13; evaluated. Also some comparison with CMKF (debiased)13; is given. The results are presented for13; simulated data for target tracking. It is inferred13; that EMEKF gives better performance compared13; to other filters. Features of CMKF (de-biased),13; ECMKF, and EMEKF are brought out. Also the13; sensitivity study on the performance of EMEKF is13; done w.r.t to processing order of radar13; measurement channels.13;
