Abstract

A project was undertaken by CABS (DRDO) for design, development, fabrication, testing and qualification of the TDF radomes (antenna fairings) for TU - 142M aircraft. As part of this radome design, composite fabrication and development of prototypes have been completed. The prototype TDF radomes (4 Nos) after painting with antistatic rain erosion paint, and curing have been subjected to extensive environmental tests as per the RCWA approved QTP [1] under the CRI inspection. This document presents the details of qualification tests carried out on radomes/representative specimens and the test results obtained.
