Abstract
Historically,parameterestimationhas beenperformedoff-line13; using recorded data from specificallydesignedinputs. In this work, an adaptive -, algorithm 'fdsysid' is implemented on PC MATLAB to facilitate on-line estimation13; of stability. and control derivatives of a system. It uses equation error in the frequency domain with recursive Fourier Transform. The on-line parameter estimation consists of extraction of stability and control derivatives of a system using the measured input/output data in a real time mode. Robustness of 'fdsysid'13; algorithm to system noise, bias and on-line assessment of parameter accuracy is studied. The performance of this algorithm is evaluated using Parameter Estimation13; Error Norm (PEEN) and covariance of estimated parameters. The method would find its application in estimation of parameters of aircraft math model.
