Abstract
This document explains the first phase of the experiments for the automation of Hansa falp using Shape Memory alloys wires along with details of mechanism used. For automation of hansa flap different no. of SMA wires are used for the experiment with a suitable voltage and current value, the results shows that for the automation of Hansa flap can be done by using 105 no. of wires per flap and total power required for two flaps 2.7 kWatts. The proposed schemes for control and instrumentation are also discussed.
