Deposits collected from the compressor of the engine were analyzed for chemical composition by energy Dispersive X-ray (EDX) analysis. EDX analysis showed that the deposits are predominantly rich in C, O, Al, Si, Ca, and Fe. Some of the deposits were also found to contain particles rich in Si and O with small amount of Ni
