Abstract
Health monitoring is necessary to achieve the increased demands on autonomy in aerospace systems. Efficient health monitoring is possible only by cxB0;rTlbining data and- information from multiple sources. This survey report covers the various aspects involved in the design of health.. monitoring systems for aerospace applications including the architecture for data fusion systems,13; methods for fault detection and isolation together with several application examples with special emphasis on actuator health monitoring methods. The examples included in the report give a snapshot of the various agencies involved in health monitoring esearch and development.
