Abstract

The blistering and corrosion observed on the blades in question appears to be specific to these two blades only. Scrapping off of the affected regions before sending the blades for investigation led to loss of vital information regarding the blistering/corrosion process. However, with the available evidences, inadequate cleaning of the blades/improper handling before coating appears to be the most probable reason for blistering and subsequent corrosion.
