Stainless steel samples cut from welded AP pipeline were tested for qualification of the weld. The susceptibility of the welded samples to intergranular corrosion (IGC) was determined as per Practice-E of the ASTM standard A262. Test results showed that the welded specimens subjected to IGC withstood 1800 bend test and did not show any evidences of cracking. The microstructural study conducted on the welded samples revealed satisfactory fusion and penetration. The test results are provided in this report.
