Madan, M and Sujata, M and Raghavendra, K and Bhaumik, SK (2011) Microstructural study of turbine blades material of an aeroengine. Project Report. National Aerospace Laboratories, Bangalore, India.
Full text not available from this repository.Abstract
Turbine blades (HPT stages 1 and 2 and LP stage 1) belonging to an aeroengine, which was subjected to over temperature due to hot stagnated start on ground were forwarded to this laboratory for microstructural study to ascertain acceptance or rejection for further use. Laboratory examination showed that the microstructures of all the blades were satisfactory and there were no evidences of partial or complete dissolution of the strengthening phase, gamma prime, in the microstructure in any of the blades. It is stated that the blade material conforms to the acceptable microstructure as per INAP 102C-1051-6 Chap 72-00-00, and hence, the blades are fit for further use.
