Abstract
A two day's AICTE sponsored Staff Development Programme on Wind Energy was organized at Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology (SVNIT), Gujarat. Session 3 dealt with description of unconventional wind turbine designes and approaches. NAL's India specific wind turbine program was explained in the second half of the session. An indigenous effort put by NAL to harness wind energy in Indian geographical topology was explained.
